End of the tail with Lewis and Clark

Day 2... Best advice, "stay off the bike."

We made it 39.2 miles to Hermann around seven last night. At 39.3 the Beth crashed after hitting a bush then a street sign. She was in violation of rule #3: stay off the sidewalk.

Day 1... Augusta, MO

Left our campsite this morning packed and ready to go. Our first stop lunch in Augusta population 218.

Beth is finally driving so I finally get to be the annoying passenger which means not answering navigation questions until the last possible second.

We stopped at another winery for dinner:) We took a little detour and found StarView in Condensed,IL. Chicken sandwhich on the deck!

How does your garden grow?

Jeff and I have spent the last four years working on the inside of the house.  This year we have moved it outside! Most of our free time has been spent planting, watering, and enjoying our flowers and garden.

Bike Trip 2011

  A month ago I asked Jeff if he could have a couple days off and us take a mini vacation. We have both been busy this year with very little breaks.  We normally go to the beach the last week in June with Jeff's family but this year due to school and work commitments we were not able to go.  I suggested going to the beach and relaxing for a couple of days but Jeff had another suggestions. Now you must know that Jeff has always been the one who thinks of things that sound fun but are out of my norm. Jeff suggested we go on a bike trip! We will be biking some of the Katy Trail in Missouri. We went for a bike ride this past weekend and I must say my butt is going to be sore after riding 30 miles a day.

Jeff bought us bikes for my 23rd birthday. This was our first bike ride!
